WELCOME TO
TRISH BONE @
COUNSELLING   FOR YOU

WHAT HAPPENED IN YOUR CHILDHOOD?

Not everyone had a wonderful childhood.

It is an unfortunate fact of life that difficult things happen in childhood and this shapes and influences how you live your life.  This can cause you to believe, you're not good enough, you have to be perfect, you must achieve or to have low self-esteem and/or confidence.  Maybe you feel anxious, have low-mood or depression. The following is a list of some childhood adversities.  If you resonate with anything on this page, please get in touch.

  • Emotionally unavailable parents.

  • Divorced parents.

  • Death of a family member or friend.

  • Illness - your own, a family member or friend.

  • Witnessing or experiencing domestic abuse.

  • Abuse (physical, sexual, mental).

  • Bullying.

  • Childhood neglect.

  • A parent/care-giver who mis-used alcohol/drugs

Taking Notes

WHO AM I?

No one needs to suffer - support makes a difference.

WHO AM I?

I'm Trish an experienced counsellor based in Bristol.  I had counselling some years ago and it changed my life for the better.  This is where my passion for counselling came alive.  As my struggles drifted further away I realised that no one needed to suffer as I once had...

MY APPROACH TO COUNSELLING

I am a person-centred/humanistic counsellor, although I draw on other approaches if they feel of benefit to you.  Person-centred counselling has an emphasis on getting to know you and building a professionally supportive relationship.  This approach gives you time, security, confidentiality and a non-judgemental space,..
